A pre-DEFSEC supplier event presented by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency & the Atlantic Canada Aerospace & Defence Association!

The Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), in collaboration with the Atlantic Canada Aerospace & Defence Association (ACADA), cordially invites you to participate in an upcoming supplier engagement event with Navantia as a pre-DEFSEC initiative.

Navantia is a Spanish state-owned shipbuilding enterprise dedicated to civil and military naval construction, the design of deep-tech systems and the manufacture of structures for the renewable energy sector, such as offshore wind or hydrogen.

Navantia specializes in the construction of all types of surface military ships and submarines, as well as in engine manufacturing incorporating advanced technologies. The company has capabilities in the integration of advanced systems and provision of comprehensive repair and maintenance services for vessels, lifecycle support, and training for both military and civilian vessels. Navantia Seanergies has expertise in the green-energy sector with extensive experience in the offshore wind industry and hydrogen technologies. Its Centers of Excellence are advancing digital twins, additive manufacturing, cybersecurity, and more-fostering national talent and strengthening industrial sovereignty.

As Spain’s national shipbuilding company and manufacturer of the S-80 submarine, Navantia is seeking potential Canadian partners in its pursuit of the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project (CPSP). This event will be of special interest to firms that have capabilities that could support production and sustainment of the future CPSP, conduct research and development in relevant areas, and are interested in Navantia’s other lines of business.

Company representatives will be presenting at the Halifax Convention Centre on Monday, September 29, 2025, to provide an overview of the S-80 submarine, as well as areas of potential opportunities. Following the presentations, there will be an opportunity for Navantia officials to meet one-on-one with a limited number of Atlantic Canadian companies during a B2B session. Navantia representatives will be present from a variety of organizations, including the Canadian office and experts from focus areas tied to the CPSP.
